Young People in Care Create Quilt in Lancashire

Young people in Lancashire have produced a quilt which is going to be on display in Morcambe Library.

Workers from Lancashire County Council helped young people in care to express their ideas and feelings by making their own squares for the quilt.

County Councillor, Tony Winder, said that the quilt was a great way for young people to express their views. He said, “It is no wonder that this lovely quilt is going on tour because every patch tells a different story. It is a magnificent reflection on the benefit that being in residential care or receiving other kinds of help can have on a young person.”

The quilt measures over 4 metre by 5 metres and will be displayed at locations throughout Lancashire from 4th – 15th February.

An update about the quilt can be found here.
